Breathing reset

Two minutes of slow breathing. Follow the words on screen: breathe in for four seconds, out for six. There’s no sound, and if you’ve asked your device for reduced motion, there’s no animation either.

How it works

  1. Sit or stand comfortably. Press Start.
  2. Breathe in while the screen says “Breathe in” and out while it says “Breathe out”. A number shows the seconds left in each phase.
  3. After two minutes it stops. You can pause, or finish early at any time.

What your result means

Nothing is measured or scored. If the breathing felt useful, you could notice how you feel now compared with before you started.

This is a wellbeing exercise, not treatment or diagnosis. If you often feel unwell or overwhelmed, please speak to a qualified professional.

Why a longer breath out

Many simple breathing exercises make the breath out a little longer than the breath in, which people often find settling. Four seconds in and six out is a gentle pattern to start with.

If any breathing exercise makes you light-headed or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally. This page is not medical advice.

No. It’s a simple wellbeing exercise, not treatment, therapy or diagnosis. If you’re struggling, a qualified professional can help.

Is anything saved?
