Weekly Balance Check

A fast weekly review for people who don’t have an hour for one. Look back at the week across nine life areas, then decide what deserves your attention next week.

How it works

  1. Note one thing that went well. It stays on your device and is just for you.
  2. Tap the areas that got real attention this week, and the ones that were neglected.
  3. Choose up to three areas for next week and whether to protect, advance or acknowledge each one. You get a short plan with one concrete action per area.

What your result means

Protect means an area needs care or stability: keep it from being squeezed. Advance means you want to move it forward. Acknowledge means it deserves presence, not a push, so you notice it without adding pressure.

Three choices is deliberate. A weekly review that produces twelve priorities produces none.

Protect · Advance · Acknowledge

Most weekly reviews ask “what are my goals?”. This one asks a gentler question first: which parts of life need protecting this week, which do you want to move forward, and which simply deserve to be noticed?

It’s the same model BalanceIt uses to plan a week, and it works on paper too: three words, three areas, one action each.

Frequently asked questions

When should I do a weekly review?

Whenever your week naturally turns over: Friday afternoon, Sunday evening or Monday morning. Consistency matters more than the day.

Is what I write saved anywhere?

Your “went well” note never leaves your browser and is never shared. The selections are kept on this device so a refresh doesn’t lose them.

Why only three areas for next week?

Because attention is limited. Choosing three makes the plan realistic and makes it obvious when something new has to wait.
